Fine, lets assume for a moment you don't get caught on the drop zone and they play it 'conventionally'. Where you throwing? He said he was throwing to Kelce but that ball wouldn't have made it to Kelce's feet.
That play and the play to Fortson in the end zone were just so inexplicably bad. If PFF graded Mahomes poorly this week, he pretty much earned it. He did not play well on balance. A couple of spectacular throws and late in the game he was efficient, safe and smart - I'll give him that. But he tried to blow this game 3 times and got bailed out biggly.
It wasn't {half that will go unnamed} levels of bad, but it was real bad. It wasn't just Mahomes bad, it was Derek Carr bad. Which makes it Sam Darnold good, but I digress...
It was a rough outing.
Way too many throws into defenders' hands. He will need to be a hell of a lot better if this team wants to beat the likes of Buffalo. [Reply]

I get what Kelce was trying to do but I can't help feeling like he should have scored here. Pocket collapses but the OL still holds (most of) their blocks allowing Mahomes to spin out and find Kelce pic.twitter.com/9INVb4vXvv
He mentioned this play in his new podcast, by the way.
He said he thought Pat was throwing him short for a reason and didn't realize he could have turned upfield and hit the pylon until it was too late. For that reason, he said he deserved to get power bombed by Derwin lol [Reply]

He also said he found it hilarious the James asked him if he was good after the series was over. [Reply]

I just re-watched it a few times, that seems exactly what happened. Kelce's route was supposed to go parallel but he broke it high when it got wide open, unforuntaly Mahomes didn't hold the ball like 1 second longer.
That said, I still don't know how Juju was that open with Mahomes staring at him and he didn't throw it. [Reply]

i have a feeling mahomes goes scorched earth on tampa
This 3rd and 11 flew under the radar as a game-shifting moment. Protection collapses due to IND games, Mahomes gets a miracle throw out, Watson drops it.
Chiefs made an ill-advised fake FG attempt the next play. No points on this drive up 17-13. pic.twitter.com/LK5VCSKLqK
Remember that dipshit DC that said Mahomes is a 1 read QB who plays streetball and will not last long?
Boy these gifs of street all sure are working aren’t they?
