Mahomes is a threat to the old guard. He plays a style very different than most of the old school QBs and doing it better than they did with their style. That is unnerving because he's doing things everyone was taught to NOT do and he is paving the way for a new style of QB coming up. Kids are growing up to be the next Mahomes, not the next Carson Palmer. Burrow is the last of a dying breed of the pure pocket passer.

Another thing being overlooked is that Mahomes had more passing yards and TD passes and fewer INTs last year than Burrow. Burrow's top 3 receivers were: Chase, Higgins, and Boyd. Mahomes top 3 receivers were: Kelce, JJSS, MVS. Not sure how Burrow is better than Mahomes in any respect. [Reply]

But more on Burrow. Want to blame the OL issues for Burrow's last loss? Okay. Then why is he so pedestrian in the regular season? Bengals fans seem to think it’s the lack of a full offseason. His rookie year was COVID, sophomore season was recovering from the ACL injury, and this latest offseason was interrupted by an emergency appendectomy.
