Well, once upon a time, Matt Cassel was a seasoned vet with a pro bowl season.
Just saying.
Humphries is apparently washed. It sucks, but if he can't get on the field now, he's not ever getting on the field in KC. [Reply]
Some of this analysis of the better matchups with thuney at g and DJ at LT, over looks the simple reason or answer to who starts at LT. The simple answer here is that Mahomes has looked more comfortable with thuney at LT. A comfortable Mahomes doesn’t see ghosts and is not anxious in the pocket for at least his first read. So, even if there are advantages to having thuney at g and a healthy dj at LT, those advantages don’t overcome the advantage of a comfortable Mahomes. Mahomes wants at least enough time for that first read and thuney may get beat but he rarely loses instantly, which we’ve seen our other LTs whiff a lot. I think Andy is giving Pat what he wants and is probably wise to do so. [Reply]

Pat absolutely looked uncomfortable at times last weekend. The two games he really looked sharp, he was getting the ball out faster than any time in his entire career.
The whole "what Pat wants" is overblown. What Pat wants us to fucking win. [Reply]

Interesting…. Do you think Mahomes has a say in who starts at LT? And if he does, do you think he’s telling Andy, whoever helps us win? I doubt that. I bet Mahomes prefers thuney at LT or we’d be seeing DJ get some reps at least. [Reply]

Andy doesn't take orders from anybody, not even Mahomes.
DJ isn't playing because he's not better than Thuney. There's nothing more to it than that. [Reply]

I imagine we'll run the ball less in general. Just a curiosity thing
I think it probably won't matter that much, if Thuney is at LT again. since making that change, the Chiefs' run game has fallen off. Doubt anything will change in that regard if Thuney is playing LT. But given how Kareem/Pacheco have performed, I'd make Hunt the RB1 to start the game anyway.
There is some smoke that Andy will pivot to a more pass-heavy gameplan because of that, but I have my doubts, as the OT play will probably have a negative effect on the passing game as well.
I think Pat might have a big rushing night, unless we somehow get better OT play. [Reply]

That's really the key to the game. Buffalo has outstanding OL play that does not limit their offense. I dont expect the Chiefs OL to perform as well, but they have to step it up, especially both Tackles. Patrick will need better protection. They cannot just rely on the defense to win this game, the offense is going to have to do more in order to win. [Reply]
Why are we still fucking around in this thread? Me and htis are obviously right but the coaching staff chose otherwise and that’s all that matters. CASE CLOSED FUCK THE BILLS! [Reply]

Somehow Wylie is starting as well, despite the well known and documented fact that he blows goats.
But now Wylie is out performing his contract. He's done ok there. Wish we could say that about Taylor. I guess he's done ok here also, but not when u consider his contract. [Reply]

Well, the thing about Wylie is...(checks notes...)
