I think It's as much about Shurmur being available as it is that Fangio was not thrilled with Scang's play calling. I'm a little disappointed the Broncos fired Scangs after one season but that's life in the NFL I guess [Reply]
The article four posts down seems to presume that Denver can put together a plan, but the truth is that their problems are far deeper than that. This next guy will be their fifth offensive coordinator in five years, and the local news made it clear that it was not Fangio's decision. Elway is just flailing around and there's no ownership there to fire him or even rein him in.
Patrick Mahomes II in Kansas City, and Elway running Denver into the ground. (Deep, satisfied breath and exhalation.) God, this is a wonderful time to be alive. [Reply]

Haven't they had a chance to "upgrade" every year since Manning?
Like you, I'm fine with it too...as long as Horseface ties his wagon to Lock. He's going to regret not moving up to draft a QB this year...every year he waits is another lost season with Mahomes in the division.
I've said it before...Lock is probably good enough to have an occasional winning record and keep the Donks from ever drafting top 10. [Reply]

Well, the cool thing is that neither one of us truly knows what they do or don't have with Lock. Mahomes is going to be the best QB in the division for a while, but that doesn't mean Denver can't win and be successful consistently with Lock. [Reply]

Denver will be consistently playing for 2nd place, along with every other team in the West not named CHIEFS. Your ceiling is KC's basement. How much fun can that be. :-) [Reply]

That's actually right...the team could have been rebuilt by now. No Keesum and Flaccid bloated contracts...traded Miller/Sanders/Harris Jr. for draft capital.
Donk fans will love Lock and his 8-8/9-7 seasons for two years....not being terrible is good enough for now. After that, will start realizing they need a new QB.
I probably dont need to mention this...but it's just too much fun not to. Mahomes is only 24...and just going to keep getting better. [Reply]

Yeah, if only they had given Trevor enough time. [Reply]

based on the last several years....8-8 is an improvement.
You have maxed out with Lock [Reply]
