But he's a guard playing out of position so yes, it is remarkable.
This is the game. Thuney wins his gold jacket tomorrow.
Give me this all day long...I would rather have an intelligent Thuney playing at the level he is than take a chance on anyone else on our roster...and if him being just adequate for playing out of place gives Mahomes 2-4 extra seconds of comfort i am there for that.
Mahomes can wreck people with that kind of time. [Reply]

It's not 2-4 seconds. It's more like 1-2 seconds. But so far, that has been good enough. No reason it shouldn't continue to be. [Reply]

Yeah...I was inflating to make my point...you are right it is only 1-2 seconds but that is really all Mahomes needs. [Reply]

The equation is:
JT @ LT(Pass protection) > DJH @ LT(improves running game interior pass protection).
Consistency on the oline cannot be understressed as well. Moving JT at this point with the AFC Championship on the line is a big call.
Probably gonna start him at left tackle.
Don't get angry when Pachecho can't find the holes. [Reply]

Those guys don't exist in free agency.
Or where KC typically drafts. There’s always the possibility of finding a diamond in the rough type of LT later in the draft, but they are rare. [Reply]

No, but he should be able to still block well enough until he gets up to speed with protection packages, especially with an All Pro LG next to him. [Reply]

To be clear I’m not an advocate for a change — just saying that if Humphries had to step into the LT spot he’d probably hold up better this week than last. And I’m sure Reid is going thru the same thought process you did and it looks like he’s coming to the same conclusion. [Reply]

An expert in the protection packages? :-) Humphries is a seasoned vet with a pro bowl season and he's been on our roster for two months now. And consider he did come in and start right after being on the roster for two weeks. His issue isn't mental. If he's physically ready to play is the issue. If he's ready there's a decent argument for him to play. It looks like Thuney will be the LT but until tomorrow we won't know for sure. [Reply]

Yes, but Andy IS OBVIOUSLY NOT TAKING US SERIOUSLY!!
The nerve of that freaking guy. Heck he only has 300 more NFL wins than I do. In the overall scheme of tens of thousands of games, that's not that many more than I have. [Reply]
