Some people think the team would be better without him. BWillie, apologize for your horrific take.
Some people also have KJ Adams avatars

Hey you like guys with heart and effort.

I did it for you.

I want you to respect his hustle. Since that is what wins basketball games.

It would involve a lot of AJ Storr driving at the basket and not much else

Dickinson basically won this game singlehandedly tonight

Hunter Dickinson got 32 and 13 with his tire-sized lungs gasping for air in the mountains of Colorado. All he did down the stretch was make plays when they needed them. What a monster. Tough, tough night for the haters.

He could probably do that Ninja Warrior stuff. But I agree with you.

No questioning his moxie though.

Dickinson won't win you a national championship. Back then my sights were set more on that. Now Im just S16 as the dream.
You said they’d be as good if not better. They’d be one of the worst in the conference.

But you’re right…Dickinson won’t carry a team to a national title by himself. Hard to believe that any player could be incapable of that.

Seriously doubt many or any KU fans WANT him to fail or suck, they WANT him to do what he did last night.

And it's funny that guy has posted exactly the same thing multiple times now, yet only like 2 or 3 times all season.... Dickinson played well, sound the alarms for a haters tweet! :-) :-)

Hope he keeps it up so we can set the bar higher than bragging about beating sub-.500 teams.

They expect him to be one of the best college basketball players in history and average a 30 point double double? Because the guy already averages 17 and 10 for KU while getting doubled/tripled regularly all game because his teammates are these two:

Dickinson criticism remains absolutely bizarre, he's their most consistent performer (and does it with very little help) and it isn't all that close. Hence the tweet about the haters being in their feelings after that one.

It's not bizarre. If he played like he did last night all season we aren't sitting here having this discussion. But he didn't. The game last night was not the norm but the outlier.

Him getting double teamed is still one of the weirdest things to me. With his passing ability & his lack of post moves and speed, doubling him should be one of the worst things you could do.

He's the only one on the team that can score consistently, why not when you have 3 bricklayers and KJ?

Great screenshot! Really goes to show just how poor the excuses are around "sPaCiNg!" and how everything else like needing NBA talent, perfect coaching, etc; just isn't true when you're willing to fight through even a triple team to score and/or draw a foul.

Forcing your will is a big part of what makes great players great and it's exactly the kind of effort you want to see from the leaders of the team... and instead of making everyone around him a little worse, I'm sure it has the opposite impact (not to say everyone around him has a high ceiling, of course).

He's literally been the 3rd best player statistically in NCAA this season already while playing with a player who nobody guards. Do you want him to be Wilt Chamberlain or something? Because not even Wilt averaged 30 a game at KU.

It's not weird at all to me, that strategy is the single biggest reason this team's offense is as bad as it has been in the Self era.

KJ Adams literally can't score from 2 feet out and Dickinson is one of the toughest 1 on 1 matchups for anybody in the country (whether facing up or in the post, he's going to score regularly). Coaches simply tell their players to leave him on any pass at Dickinson because they know he can't do a damn thing if and when the ball comes back to him.
