Sounds like a power struggle is coming
Who knows... my gut tells me, Elway isn't afraid to tell Peyton that he's sitting on the bench until further notified. I don't think he'll feel pressure to go to Manning. Granted, there will be pressure and all sorts of "what if" scrutiny, but if Brock plays out the final 4 games and they are 3-1 at worst, hell even 2-2 and Brock is playing well ... and they can maintain a #2 seed, then I think Brock keeps it rolling.
Think about it, there's a strong chance that Brock can win 6-7 games... Peyton was 7-2. Brock is doing well, simply by playing it smart and running the offense they truly want to have with Kubiak. Game manager - hell, call him whatever you like, but he's been carrying a good load in the last 3 games - granted, the Chargers win was a snoozer.
The defense and ground game have rallied - the mistakes are down. It's not flashy, but it's producing. It's a good problem to have, going into the playoffs.
Manning has had a full month off... and it may become two months, so who knows how this plays out. They have options and right now, neither is horrible. [Reply]
