I was bored and watched all three episodes that have been aired so far on OnDemand. I actually think the show is pretty damn good so far, I like the character a lot. [Reply]
I am. I'm more worried about him than anything else, simply because Dexter doesn't even know he exists. The other threats never really "worried" me, because Dexter knew they were on to him. It's much different when it's someone else.

Spoiler!
It appears that Dex is about to know he exists as he finds the bug. I know I saw that (can't remember if that was at the end of the episode or if it was in the preview for next week). My guess is that he finds robocop and takes care of him. :-)

I know the #1 code is to not get caught...but wouldn't off'ing Robocop be kind of against the code? Yeah the dude is creepy and a thug "cop" but he isn't really kill worthy, right? I mean, Dexter didn't know what to do about Doakes so crazy bitch did him a favor (without knowing) and took care of that for Dex...but the writers have pretty much kept Dexter by the code since day 1...so it would seem a little weird if Dexter just decided to kill Robocop...I don't know...
But when he finds the bug, it is registered to Quinn, not Liddy. I guess he'll find out about Liddy somehow, but it's all registered to Quinn at the PD.

Yeah, I have though about that. I'm not sure how that would play out. I'm thinking that he will find out something about robocop or robocop will do something that makes him worthy of being killed. I dunno. Surely, they will get rid of that annoying bastard somehow some way. [Reply]

I also imagined the possibility that Robocop continues to piss off Quinn until Quinn takes him out of the picture somehow. This could either neutralize the threat Quinn poses to Dexter if Quinn gets into trouble or flees on his own accord. [Reply]
I still think Quinn finds out about Dexter and gets his back somehow and keeps his secret in some regard...maybe not about the whole serial killer thing...but maybe about this "vigilante" thing and Lumen... [Reply]

It's possible, but that's a testament to the quality of the writing. They have opened up so many potential avenues. [Reply]

here's another one...
what if all robocop's illegal spying and bugging totally lets dexter off the hook for any crime he has committed [Reply]

Well it's obvious that all of that information is totally inadmissable in a court of law, just like Doakes' breaking into his house and getting the blood slides were. That said, it would pretty much completely ruin any chance he had to continue "working" in and around Miami.
So even if it doesn't have legal repercussions, at the very least, it would kill both his careers. [Reply]
