What is the record for most total yards in a season? Mahomes should be in the running for that.

The NFL record for total offense is Drew Brees with 5,404.

Mahomes had 5,198 in 2018 (#4 all time).

He has 4,646 right now.

Needs to average 253 yards total offense to break the record in the last three games.

Honestly anyone who downgrades his achievements due to a 17th game are ridiculous. Why is 16 games the standard? They have played over 100 years and it wasn’t always a 16 game season. I honestly don't care about the yardage stats. Just win the games, preferably in more dominant fashion than we've been seeing with the Chiefs. Drew Brees piled up a bunch of empty yardage stats in some losing seasons during the prime of his career.
