KJ is unselfish.

Just watch him rebound.

Now we know why there was a delay in hiring a basketball coach last time. Bill Self was holed up in a lodge at Karsten Creek, seriously considering the OSU offer, writes Sports Columnist Berry Tramel. https://t.co/WHMIjgURXJ

Holed up in a lodge? It's Nate Oats time.

His hair is one of his best qualities on a basketball court imo

At least Roy had the gumption to lead KU to the national championship game when his alma mater was in the back of his mind.

What's interesting is there's a decent chance Self is the one leaking that information right now.

I have a coach I’d like in a replacement. It isn’t realistic though.

Nate Oats is realistic (I hope).

Mine is Brad Stevens.

Still young enough to coach awhile.

Celtics have maybe gone overboard in embracing modern basketball.

As President of Basketball Operations, he has plenty of roster building experience. Works with high paid athletes which is different for coaches now.

Also, has college experience already.

Again, not realistic at all I’m sure.

Intriguing. I doubt he would leave that cushy position, but KU is one of the jobs in basketball that would make anyone stop and think about it.

With NIL and the Portal, coaches are pretty much the equivalent of a “front office” anymore.

Get a guy who can do both. Coach and be an Executive.

He’s my guy and we know he’s embraced modern style.

You know, I'm sure Tyler Self became alot better than me by the time he left college but we would have been a reasonable match in high school. He just has the size over me.

I think I could have averaged 2.9 ppg on a bad Free State team when I was that age.

I mean that they’ve embraced it more than anyone.

And, it works.
