Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Last I checked, he was #3 in attempts too, which is important to note.
Last year Brady led the league in passing yards and TDs but he also had 50 more attempts than the next highest QB. This season, Pat is at nearly 3,600 yards while Brady and Herbert haven't even crossed 3,100 and they've both got an entire game's worth of attempts on him. [Reply]
Tua had a rough game at 19/100 in QBR. He was pretty far ahead of everyone in the QBR list, but Mahomes has jumped ahead of him. Patrick was graded 90/100 QBR for the Cincy game today.

MVP is dominated by gaudy stats, narratives, and everything weighted more heavily late in the season.
Overall, he's still got more passing yards, more passing TDs, more total TDs, higher YPA, higher passer rating, higher QBR, higher ANY/A, and fewer turnovers (than pretty much everyone), but I think Mahomey throwing 2 TD and 1 INT over the last two weeks and losing the head-to-head with Burrow has impacted his MVP campaign.
Prior to these last couple weeks it was clearly Mahomes' to lose. Right now, I'd say the gap has narrowed and it's probably Mahomes with the edge, Hurts, Burrow, then Tua and Josh Allen. [Reply]

I think he is carrying a weaker roster on his shoulders than guys like Hurts, Burrow, & Allen. They have better defenses and maybe better OL’s as well. Hurts has played extremely well the last couple weeks. If Eagles keep winning, I won’t be surprised if Jalen gets MVP. [Reply]
