Rodgers twice, Jackson, Mahomes all led the league in QBR during their recent MVP seasons. In 2017, Brady didn't but the leader I believe was Keenum playing less games and not having as high of a passer rating as Brady. In 2016, Matt Ryan narrowly led in QBR and won MVP. Cam Newton in 2015 is an example of a QB winning MVP with a relatively pedestrian QBR. The advantage that Newton has over Hurts is a better narrative and the perception that he was the better player.
I would also say regarding Tua is that he has two elite WRs. All the off-season talk about how Mahomes would struggle without Hill and he still leads the league in most passing categories. To turn around and give it to the guy who now has Hill shows that people are trying to find a way to not justify giving it to Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes threw his 180th career passing touchdown Sunday, his 74th start. Only Dan Marino (89 games) and Aaron Rodgers (99 games) have thrown 200 passing touchdowns in their first 100 games.

What still boggles my mind is that Wild, Out of Control, Gunslinger Patrick Mahomes has a lower career interception rate than Tom Brady does.

And that's after accounting for the latter half of Brady's career where he basically stopped throwing them because the game moves so slowly for him.

The benign shit that Mahomes does is just as impressive as the incredible things.

Fuck those misleading stats. Herbert isn't fit to lick Mahomes' jizz off Derek Carr's back.

They intentionally listed the stat that way to discount Mahomes since he sat for a year.

I don’t think it has anything to do with Mahomes. Aaron Rodgers sat for the first 3 years of his career, so he gets screwed in that type of comparison as well. They are just showing that Herbert got off to a strong start in his first 3 years.

But they also like to mention Mahomes and his weapons while ignoring the fact Herbert has Williams, Allen, and Eckler.

Herbert has a stacked roster on both sides of the ball and nothing to show for it. He would trade all those empty stats for a championship ring. Have the Chargers even won a single playoff game in Herbert’s time?? Hell, Mahomes would trade all his stats for more rings. Chiefs were not far off from winning 4 in a row.

They were very close to at least playing in four and at minimum winning half of them.

1. Dee Ford offside
2. Eric Fisher injury
3. Uncharacteristic bad half of football from Mahomes in a game KC had well in hand.

No guarantee they win any of those SBs, but their chances are pretty good that they get one more ring out of at least one of them.

Mahomes still played his ass off that game.

Had Tyreek not dropped a TD, and Williams drop another TD that smacked him right in the facemask on what could have been a top 5 play of all time, that game and the momentum would have been totally different.

They would have been tough catches, but Robinson and either Pringle or Hardman (I can't remember) dropped balls in the end zone.

The Pringle or Hardman one was legit like the play or two before the incredible sideways throw. Everyone just remembers that one, but the one before it was crazy too. He was twisting and turning as he was being dragged down and heaved up an accurate pass in back corner of the end zone.
