That has everything to do with Klingsbury becoming the new HC. Didn't the Cards also fire their GM? It's too early to know if all the moves the cards made will pan out, but if you're going to point to them as some kind of genius for dumping a QB they drafted at #10 in one draft, for a QB picked #1 overall in the very next draft, you have to question the overall managing of the franchise from top to bottom.

Lynch was drafted as a project, he was never going to start immediately. Unfortunately it didn't pan out and the Broncos moved on after 3 seasons.

I guess we will know soon enough if what the Cards did was the best for the future of the franchise. I thought the Bidwells were, perhaps, the worst owners in the NFL but after they got the new stadium, they appear to be making better decisions (bringing in Kurt Warner, for example). Who knows, perhaps they will be holding the Lombardi up in the next few years, or maybe they will be drafting 1/1 again in the next few years?

Fact is, no one knew Mahomes was going to be as good as he is, not anyone, including you or anyone on this board, or anyone in the KC franchise, or anyone in the entire NFL. Congrats on your new QB, well done for drafting him, that said, no one knew he'd be as good as he is, did they?

Yes, VJ was another mistake and rumor has it that it was not Elway who wanted VJ has HC but it was Joe Ellis who wanted VJ. VJ was in over his head and now the Broncos are on a more veteran type of HC, almost the opposite of VJ.
