Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

I get what you mean, but Mahomes is breaking every mold and is redefining the position. If anyone could win both it is him. Plus I don’t think him winning MVP will make any difference in the playoffs. Just like the old “Madden curse” or never changing socks on game day. [Reply]

Not really. 2-9 in one score games with that defense is really bad. His worst tendencies reveal themselves in tight situations and all of his stats are significantly worst when playing from behind. [Reply]

Yes but under Andy he would thrive more than any other QB not named Mahomes. [Reply]

I'm a big believer in historical trends. In general, I never like to try and buck them.
That being said, you're right about Mahomes. He's the kind of player that can break the trend. He did, after all, survive being put on the cover of Madden. [Reply]

Last time it happened was Kurt Warner with the 1999 Rams. They had a great defense, top 4 in points allowed per game. He wasn’t having to play lights out to barely win games like we saw with Mahomes on Sunday. A performance like that from your QB should lead to a comfortable win. But the defense gave up 27 points. Chiefs defense is currently 21st in the league in points allowed per game. [Reply]
