When he didn't hit Hardman, and then missed on Hill, I thought the play was dead. Great reaction by CEH to make himself open on the 2-point play. And of course, great pass by PMII. Phew! [Reply]
Mahomes zings one to Kelce. Really great anticipation here. He is fitting the ball into tight windows now. Even put it on the trailing shoulder so he could turn back into the hole to get the 1st. AMAZING!
Mahomes doing Mahomes things. Bad pass protection. They need to get that blindside blitzer wrinkle teams have thrown in solved by the playoffs, and they will.
Super Bowl Mahomes. Needed one more yard to get a TD here.

Keeping a back in or chipping on Browns side makes a MASSIVE difference.
To some degree that's on Mahomes. He needed to recognize the speed advantage the Chargers had set up on that side, especially with only a 3-man rush (plus the blitzing DB). He could've motioned Williams to the other side of the formation and had him come off Brown's left shoulder to slow that speed rush down.
Ultimately the majority of blitz issues fall on the quarterback to either throw into the spot that's vacated or adjust the protection to pick it up. Asking Brown to just beat a much smaller, faster player to the edge is asking quite a bit and it's just not something he's going to do with any regularity. [Reply]
I'd like to see Patrick throw more of those deep balls to Tyreek down the sideline even when he's not super open. That clip basically shows one-on-one coverage, but there's some late help coming over from the middle. Defenders are so scared to be in that position, most of them will commit pass interference once they realize the ball is coming. Plus, as Tyreek showed there, he has elite ball tracking skills.
