Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

I’m fine with criticizing giving up that third down. It’s fair.
That’s what kept the defense from having a flawless second half. They still had a great second half even with that play.
Luckily, with this offense, we don’t need flawless second halves from the defense. When they’re great to close out the game, that will almost always be enough for this coach and QB. [Reply]

he is adamant mahomes will win, it's certainly not going to be hurts at this rate, too far behind mahomes in TDs
chiefs are now
#1 offense
#1 scoring offense
#2 record
mahomes is
#1 passing
#1 passing TD
#2 QBR
going to be hard to give it to anyone else...especially because mahomes defense is mid as fuck compared to the top 10 units in PHI and BUF
Not only is he doing this, but doing it without Hill. Everyone predicted the demise of Mahomes and the Chiefs when Hill was traded. Yet he is still putting up amazing numbers while navigating KC to an 8-2 record playing one of the hardest schedules in the league. Mahomes biggest “problem” is that some writers have fatigue with him and he is always being compared to his own excellence. I can’t see how any other player right now is MVP but him. [Reply]

I'm just giving him a hard time about saying it was Mike Williams. [Reply]
I’ve been really impressed with hurts. Really surprised. He had an mvp like drive yesterday to win the game.
It speaks volumes that mahomes has pulled up this far ahead of the race and basically clinched the mvp last night (barring some setback). He’s running away in a race where the runners up are having really good seasons themselves [Reply]
Anyone else impressed with his comfort level in the pocket now? Last night I think it was brown kinda being pushed back into him and mahomes just pushes back a little to buy more time for the throw.
In the past, the pocket would start to close in and I'd think, throw it, hurry...with mahomes I just watch knowing he's got his eye on something or he's about to take off. [Reply]
I noticed he was hanging in there and putting his hand on Brown Jr and Thuney's back when the pocket would collapse a bit. Made me nervous but he's got a great feel in there right now. He's in a great rhythm. [Reply]

Honestly there were some times I was screaming at him to leave the pocket and open up the run option. He finally did it during the game winning drive.
I think Pat was making a conscious effort to stay in the pocket last night which hurt him on a few attempts. [Reply]
