Lol. Good point. But remember, ElFraud was applauded for a great draft in 2018 when his draft closely followed the guru ratings, and it did turn out to be one of his better drafts. Too bad that we don't get to see teams draft boards after the conclusion of the draft. It would be interesting to see where teams had Mahomes ranked on their boards. [Reply]
It's kind of funny that Taco/somebody decided to do some sort of upgrade but chose to do it during a period when they didn't have time to make it look like a non-rotting piece of shit. Like... holy crap... it was out for a whole week?
Makes it seem like DaFace actually does fix his shit around these parts :-) [Reply]

At the very least, I don't think their drafts would be demonstrably worse.
Even in the case of the 2017 draft, you've got one of the NFL's best GMs in Telesco with the Chargers who also had the perfect chance to take Mahomes, but he had his head too far up Rivers' butt to think about what was actually in front of him. Alex Smith is 2 years younger than Rivers, and that didn't stop Reid/Dorsey from pulling the trigger on Mahomes. Had QB-starved rabid beer-drinking Big 12 dumbass fans been running the Chargers, that team would have been set for the next 20 years, not just the 3. Hell, just consider what they could have gotten in trade for Rivers, too. No, Mike Williams isn't a bust... he actually seems to be an okay player. But does that shit matter at all when a couple years down the line you have to replace Rivers and nothing is available?
The fans aren't always wrong, and sometimes in the case of the huge fucking idiot teams like the Bills and the Bengals, the fans can be right just as often as the idiot old stubborn GMs.
While what you are saying makes plenty of sense, lots of GM's care about the here and now. If he thinks at that point he has 5 more years of Rivers, he'll view using a 1 as a waste of a pick.
Most GM's are short sighted because blowing a QB pick is a good way to get fired. [Reply]

Okay, that was a bit of a side rant.
How about this... could a team of the most knowledgable Buffalo Bills fans procured better drafts than any of their GMs they've had over the past 5 years?
Probably. At the very least I'll bet they don't utterly fuck up 2017 as much as the actual Bills did. [Reply]

Fans have weird perspective I have a friend that likes the Bills and he thinks their 2017 was great because "we got a #1 CB while getting enough extra picks to get a QB the next year" [Reply]

I loved going to the Bears and Bills forums last season.

Eh, you do what it takes keep yourself from going insane. I'm not going to blame your friend.
Hell, I still haven't quite convinced myself that we should've taken Aaron Rodgers over Derrick Johnson in 2005. Being a fan does weird things to you. [Reply]
Broncos are the team with the above average defense and struggling offense with the retread QB while we are the team with the all-time QB coming off a record year fixing the defense.
Except our QB isn’t aging. And we will likely win more than 1 Super Bowl [Reply]

Also, we've got the coach that can turn that struggling offense into something usable. Vic Fangio and this Scangangrene weirdo or whatever the fuck his name is are not Andy Reid. That is still a very very pedestrian broke dick offense. [Reply]
