Oh, but it CAN.... We all thought that at various points also. There's a reason Fangio has never been a HC.
I personally think he's going to be "better" than Vance, BUT he's not going to be anything special. Maybe the type that perpetually gets you near .500. If you have a "good" year you get in as the last WC on the last day of the season. If you have a bad year, you finish a few games below .500. If you have a "decent" year, you finish .500 and miss the playoffs, BUT there is HOPE for the future. Rinse / repeat. [Reply]
My brother in law is a huge Donk fan. Saw him this weekend and realized his new trigger word is Flacco. I mentioned Flacco and he immediately went to his safe place, which is to say- "Well the Chiefs have not won a Superbowl in 50 years," his old stand by.
Flacco triggered him faster than mentioning the greatness of Mahomes or their current losing streak against us. I think most Donk fans know it is going to be a long year for them. [Reply]

It will depend more on the Staff he hired to run the offense. If he lets them do what they can do and not meddle, they could be greatly improved. [Reply]

Not when your offensive personnel is shit. [Reply]

The formula for Broncos offense is simple, but this is 2019, and you need a QB to elevate the team.
Otherwise you find yourself coming up short. And Lamar Jackson’s backup, and Drew Lock, isn’t cutting it [Reply]

And?
You could literally say that about 75% of the league. Their offensive personnel is shit outside of Lindsay who we don’t even know can stay healthy for 16 games. [Reply]

Lindsay, Freeman are solid backs. Their offensive line is good at run blocking.
Courtland Sutton is a big, athletic receiver who is good. Emmanuel Sanders is aging but still has to be respected. They drafted a TE.
That’s a nice little I-formation personnel they have in Denver. [Reply]

Courtland Sutton is all hype. He had solid production last year, but he didn’t do enough to say he is “good” just yet. I don’t see the ability to consistently get separation. He wasn’t very impressive in any of the games I watched.
Freeman is JAG if I’ve ever seen one. He wouldn’t even make our roster.
Sanders is 32 and certainly on the downside of his career.
With Joe Flacco at QB, that’s a below average offense and saying “if they had Mahomes” is about as pointless as saying “if they were actually good”. [Reply]
