It's apparently my fault that I asked a question, and people answered that question as if they agreed with the overall premise.
I mean, I DID answer your question, with what Veach apparently tried to do. You just dismissed it outright, so at that point the discussion is over? [Reply]

We're skimping by when there are a lot of teams with 2 good RB's.
We've been skimping by basically since we let Kareem go the first time. They did try with CEH, but since that was basically their only swing in several years, we're left with the situation we're currently in.
I think the pendulum has definitely swung, though. I can't imagine this team going into next season without expending prime assets of some kind on several backs. [Reply]

Holy fuck. Can you make up your mind? So you do in fact beleive the Chiefs could'be/should've added a RB that would've changed the outcome?
Do you not see how you're contradicting yourself here? [Reply]

:-) How in the world am I contradicting myself? Again, I never said that another RB in the room would've made the difference between winning and losing the Super Bowl. I said the Chiefs RB room going into the season kind of sucked and pointed out that Veach apparently agreed with that sentiment since he pursued Josh Jacobs. [Reply]

First off, the entire discussion started with Run talking about Reid reflecting on the SB and the Chiefs inability to run the ball particularly in that game being the issue.
I literally asked which RB would've changed everything, and you provided an answer like you have acknowledged. By answering the question, then claiming you never said he would've changed everything is absolutely 100% a blatant contradiction.
"Who's yoir lord and savior?"
"Jesus Christ"
"I never said Jesus was my lord and savior!" [Reply]
If I was responding to that I would've quoted that. I wasn't. I was responding to htismaqe saying he couldn't blame Veach for not running the ball more [Reply]

That is literally what you fucking quoted dipshit.

Yeah, Pacheco's vision and running style are a detriment to his speed overall. I mean, he ran a 4.37 dash. It just doesn't translate to speed on the field. [Reply]

He wasn't Kareem, but in the first Super Bowl you could have made the case that Damien Williams was the MVP. In the other two Super Bowl years we had Pacheco averaging 4.5 to 5 yards a carry. We're not a running team but every Super Bowl winner we've had could make explosive plays happen in the running game.
This year the Chiefs were 29th in yards per carry. Pacheco's longest run was 34 yards but that was an outlier because he didn't have many carries for double digit yards, period. Most games his longest carry was 8 or 9 yards. Hunt's season long was 20 yards and most of his games he never had a 15 yard carry. I would be curious to see how many 20 yard runs this team had from the running backs. I think it might literally be 2 or 3. [Reply]
That was your RB room for OTAs and Preseason. Snagging up Perine after roster cutdowns was a nice salvage and Hunt was a nice redemption story for a little while there.
That's what you quoted when you asked that question. I didn't acknowledge or answer your point about there being a magic fix all RB to save the season because that doesn't exist and it wasn't a point I made. All I said was the RB room kind of sucked and Veach apparently thought so as well since he pursued Josh Jacobs. [Reply]
