I just think there's a surprising amount of optimism out there and I'm not sure I see it. And to be clear if the guy is only a minor player on the roster this season that's still a tremendous achievement for a late round pick.
Finally I'd just say that when UChieffyBugger is pounding the table on someone, it's a bit of a red flag. (Sorry, Fountain.)
I pounded the table for Fortson too..funny you didn't mention that. Oh and BOTH of them made the roster!!...so your effort to belittle my football knowledge is not hitting the spot buddy :-) [Reply]

Lots of people loved Fortson. You weren't alone on that.
And Fountain? He was active for 5 games last season, was never targeted, and got lapped on the depth chart by the ghost of Josh Gordon. Yup, you nailed it! :-) [Reply]

Yes, the 40-yard-dash, in sprint clothes, with hyper-specific training to that event, is the absolute be-all and end-all of speed (including long speed, apparently, which the original comment was about).
Jesus. How are people so brainwashed to thinking the 40 equates to shit. Hardman and Hill's 40 was close enough, and yet when they've raced it's a blowout. Because Hill is a much faster human being. And Hardman would absolutely clown Pach, despite the 0.04 difference.
And I haven't even mentioned pads yet. Charles actually played to his speed on the football field. If people really think Pach is a legit sub-4.4 guy on the field, then he must really, REALLY suck ass at every single other aspect of the game. [Reply]
