I watched last night, was fun to see BIFM but was disappointed that TRob and BRush couldn't play. Guys like Dedrick/Vick/Cunliffe/Preston don't exactly hold the same nostalgia. [Reply]

TBT = The Basketball Tounament, an ESPN creation featuring teams that are a hodge podge of former college players. There were KSU, WSU, and KU alumni teams in the Wichita bracket, all disposed of by Team Colorado.
I attended the final Wichita game between Mass Street (KU team) and Colorado. The Colorado team was just tougher overall, much more dialed into their defense. The first quarter, Mass St had trouble even getting a shot off before it was behind 8-0. From there to half, Mass St would fight to within 2 or 3 and Colo would re-extend their lead. In the 3rd quarter, Mass St buckled down and eventually gained the lead and with 4 minutes to play were ahead by 9 points. That's where the Elam Ending is implemented, adding 8 points to the leading score creating a target score (84). First team to 84 wins the game. Mass St started jacking up errant 3s and Colo won the game. The Colo team had a point guard named Adams who was nails. Their bigs were stouter and gave better defensive effort than KUs. [Reply]

I'm on sports sabbatical... winning Super Bowls and Nattys and Cups -- while all amazing with no ragrets -- is pretty damn exhausting when you add up all the extra games watched over the past few years, much less the sheer volume of alcohol and brisket. [Reply]

You poor thing. I'm sorry about all the championships, bro. [Reply]

They've arguably been the 2nd best team in the Big 12 during that span. With so many Big 12 teams being ranked, makes sense. On that list, 9 of the 25 are Big 12 teams. [Reply]
