Fair.

When it's white folks they say "Going out for cigarettes..."

That joke was a trailer trash joke well before it was a black joke.

You're right, though. It takes time to build back up a college football program.
Him and Jr are both very arrogant and the way he was treated the first 3 weeks of the season you would have thought the guy was Bear Bryant. His in game coaching is atrocious and his ego is so big anything that negative thar happens he puts blame on someone else. One week it was the o-linemen suck I'm going to replace them, the next he demotes his OC which led a high flying offense for Pat Schumer who leads them to just 17 points.

Add in anyone who speaks out against Deion gets met with being called racist and you see why it's very easy to dislike him.

Funny part is people around here act like I’m not married to a minority and totally pick up on the racist innuendo. Been around it for too long as a mixed race couple. So yeah.
What is impressive about Deion having four wins?

He didn't take over the 1 win team from last year. He brought in his mercenaries to run the show. Of course, the team should be better.

Same. I grew up around all white people and it was a trailer trash saying.

Ah, I see. I didn't know all of that. I don't really follow other programs much. I know Deon was always flamboyant and full of himself. That never really bothered me much back in the day when he was playing, probably because it never felt mean spirited. /shrug.

It's impressive that he has 4 wins in year 1 with a team that is predominantly all transfers after having 1 win last year.

That isn't easy.

Impressive enough to be featured on 60 Minutes, the cover of TIME Magazine, and be hailed as some sort of revolutionary figure?

If you want to criticize the media coverage surrounding Colorado, that's fair, but that doesn't make what he's doing any less impressive.

Not sure I follow the demotion of Lewis and promotion of Shurmur logic, though.

Yeah. That really perplexed me as well. Especially since Shurmur was hot garbage with Denver

Why is it impressive? He brought his sons from Jackson State as well as his top recruits and then he told all the other starters from last year to get the fuck out. They then promised increased NIL money to any recruit or potential transfer based off of the increased media exposure the program would receive because Prime Time is a media whore and really good at advertising himself.

This experiment of hiring a head coach based off of him bringing the fruit of his loins with him is going to fail miserably. As soon as Shadeur is shopping for watches with his first NFL check, Deion will be leaving for greener pastures. I'm sure he will be telling Colorado he is going out for milk.

If the Chiefs franchise moved to another city and the product on the field stayed the same, would you consider it impressive?

Maybe it's because Deion has no fucking clue what he is doing when it comes to actually coaching.

Because Colorado is in a Power 5 conference, has been absolute dogshit for the better part of a decade aside from one fluke year in which they won their division, and he used the portal to rebuild the roster.

I have 0 doubt that he can win 8-10 games if given 3-4 years due to the talent he can bring in. Give him a competent staff, build up the trenches, and have him serve as a CEO-type HC and he'll be fine.
