What I loved about this game is he didn't play his best in the 1st half and made two god awful throws but he didnt let it make him gunshy. He came out firing. Whatever happened in the AFC Championship game at the end of the half seemed to rattle him and he just wasn't the same the rest of the game. Confidence, the yips, a fuck you to EB. Whatever it was.

Cool stat from The Athletic podcast with Robert Mays.

41.9% of Mahomes's passes have gone for first downs this year. That's more than any other QB since 2012 (and possibly long before it too but that's how far this guy looked back).

Turns out no one got exposed from the trade. Mahomes is still Mahomes and Tyreek is still Tyreek. 2 generational talents are still good on their own. Crazy.

Which of course means that his 41.9% is also better than ANY of Mahomes' previous seasons, too.

Tyreek is a generational player but Patrick has more than proven who drives this offense.
