Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Yeah when the run game is getting 8 yards on first down the game gets super easy. I liked that we were doing that even late when everyone on the defense knew we were going to run. Totally imposing our will on them. [Reply]
Hard to argue with any of these but I would put "the run" at #1
I got to thinking last night. If you were putting a highlight reel together of Patrick Mahomes best moments. What would they be? Here’s my favorite Mahomes Moments in 2 minutes. These are the top 9. I’ll send out another tweet after this. #Chiefspic.twitter.com/N9IPdDNptW

I love all of them. Fucking Mahomes is so good. The run is absolutely inexplicable. But his arm is stupid special. I'm not sure I can put it #1 because he didn't throw it, but my GOD he's good. That is him just being a football player.
Fuck it. I can't pick. Leave the run at 1, I can't argue it.
This is surprising because our offense was actually humming along throughout the first few weeks of 2021. Our only issue at that point was turnovers. [Reply]
If Patrick Mahomes throws four touchdown passes next week, he will pass Troy Aikman’s entire career total…and Aikman is calling the game for ESPN. Praying for this to happen!! pic.twitter.com/NVnQYv91f2

I ****ing love Mahomes.
Imagine being in a situation where your superstar QB is so otherworldly incredible that he has not 2,3,4 or 5 crazy insane plays in his short career to try to pick a favorite one from but closer to 15 or 20.

Hard to imagine yet here we are.
Right.
Most guys have 1 or 2 physics-defying plays every couple of months. Mahomes has 1 or 2 every fucking game. [Reply]

Yup. That's the main difference its just his "normal".
I also think its why people tend to shade him a bit because they still don't believe 4.25 seasons 2 SB's and an MVP into his career that he can keep doing it because its a mirage or something. [Reply]

Just wait until Jackson wins a 2nd MVP after this season... [Reply]

There’s a lot to be said for the OL playing better if you provide them structure. Many have commented that when mahomes drifts he sometimes puts his OL in a tough spot. And we all know improv qbs can be tougher to block for.
But the bigger takeaway for me is how much an under center offense helps out. Even if mahomes has excelled in shotgun and RPO we need to evolve from that, and mahomes is showing he can. He’s doing it very well and he’s just getting better every week at it. He is still allowed to be mahomes, just in a different way. I think he’s way more mahomes now than he was last year when we were dinking and dunking as a counterpunch. [Reply]
We must get this man a real LT. You can have OBJ, go ahead and give him some money if you want MAHOMES TO HAVE A BEROKEN LEG LIVING AT THE SHITTY KU MED CENTER!
But maybe just maybe we should do our best to give the man A REAL LT! [Reply]
