Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?
Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? [Reply]

Yes, but you should check around first for FFLs (Federal Firearms License) in your area. Almost all gun stores do it, but also private individuals, who generally charge a lower fee.
Also, make sure the retailer you pick will ship to the FFL you choose. [Reply]

One other thing: make sure you check their reviews or whatever if you go the individual FFL route as opposed to a LGS/pawnshop/big box store/shooting range. I've heard a couple stories from friends here in AZ about nightmare issues with some of those guys. Just do your due diligence to be on the safe side. [Reply]

This too.
I have a guy that I have used for years; charges $20. When I bought my PPQ, for whatever reason he was unavailable (vacation, out of town, who knows?), so I used the local gun store instead. I should have waited until my guy was available, because the gun store charged me $70. Man, I was pissed. Especially since I'd already bought from them before, and the only reason I didn't this time was because they didn't have any PPQs in stock. [Reply]

Here locally where I live the local shop that I like charges $10 to have a gun shipped to them. Then they will do the background check and all that stuff before you take possession of the weapon. The fee there was a buck or two higher but I like that store/shop which is locally owned and operated by the owner. [Reply]

As the others have said get on this don't wait, it will go oos and no AR is going down in price anytime soon. Ruger is solid almost bought one when the prices went up during the school shooting dust-up but I kept waiting on the Colt and got neither. I settled on putting together a couple of PSA kits which have been fine. [Reply]

Well crap, I can't tell you how often I have been in the same boat with various ammo orders over the years.

Here you go - in stock at the moment. Pretty sure it's the same thing. Even comes with some free dogshit optic that will do until you can get a real one.
