This is flat out a statement game from both teams. UGA showing that they should have been in the playoffs while FSU is justifying the decision not to select them. [Reply]

Georgia is not doubt a championship-caliber team, but I don’t think they have an argument over any of the CFP teams that were selected.
Texas won their conference championship and beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa (who beat Georgia on a neutral field). [Reply]

The argument for Georgia is the same TCU had last year and they shouldn’t be punished for losing closely in a conference title game.
Only difference is the #5 team was an undefeated ACC champion. [Reply]

Except they did. This is why the expanded playoffs should help some. If you argue the four best teams there is no way you exclude UGA. If you base it on conference championships then FSU had an argument as they were the only undefeated conference champion. I have no dog in the fight regardless, but I feel like they got tired of Georgia and used a close loss in the SECCG (the first loss UGA had in three years) as an excuse to keep them out. Regardless I am hoping for the playoff games to be exciting and competitive. [Reply]

So who are you taking out of this year’s CFP and replacing with Georgia? [Reply]
