She's the biggest smoke and mirrors act in the UFC in quite some time...maybe ever. They all but handed her the belt to start with and she's fought nobodies or fighters that 100% completely fit her one dimensional style and give her easy opportunities to win. Last nights fight was a frickin joke...anyone with half a brain knew Davis didn't belong in there and would get smashed.
I'd like to see her fight an actual good striker with KO power and range...sadly I don't know if that woman is out there and even if she is, I doubt Dana would sign her because of his unhealthy obsession with RR and wouldn't want to see his cash cow get beat.

This is what I can't get past. We're talking about 135 pound women. I'm sure a knockout punch is possible, but we're not talking about a world of Tysons that Rousey is ducking here.
It seems to me that she is facing objectively the best competition that is available. We might wish there was a freak knockout artist out there in women's bantamweight, but if there isn't, what can you ask from Rousey until such a chick shows up? [Reply]

Agreed (other than that adoring part). On paper, it looks like Penn is about to get worked.
I still have to watch because, like I alluded to earlier, unlike boxing crazy shit can happen and heavily-favored MMA fighters can just randomly lose. [Reply]
Weidman cemented his status as a champion Saturday. He's a very well rounded guy. Rousey is the best woman fighting today. I was so disappointed in what appeared to be BJ's complete lack of desire to compete. He just didn't seem to want to be there. He had the best take down defense in the game a few years ago. [Reply]

I know it sounds crazy, but I'd be interested to see him at 170. I think his quickness might be enough to steal 3 out of 5 rounds from someone like Hendrix if he can avoid getting caught with that left hand which I think he can do for 5 rounds. It's would be interesting. [Reply]
First ever straw weight fight tomorrow night. Without googling, I'm guessing 115? Love the sexiness of these fights but it would sure be fun to watch a couple heavyweights.
