Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

My god.
Pat is a class act. Didn’t say anything controversial. Not even close. If you want to be mad be mad at those trying to get clicks by over hyping his comments. [Reply]

I'm not mad, but the remarks weren't optimum unless he wants to detail the 'others' who 'don't get criticism.'
Best case, this is a jab at Josh Allen, . . . MAYBE a jab at Herbert.
Most everyone else, certainly everyone in their relative age grouping 'don't get criticism' because they DON'T GET PRAISE.
Mahomes, Kyler and Lamar are in the hunt for the next defining QB of an era. That brings scrutiny. Lamar and Kyler have legit reasons for scrutiny. And Mahomes' scrutiny is more jealousy and incredulity at how he's transformed the position, making up criticism to fill the 24-7 pundit slate of discourse, more than actual criticism. He's what everyone wants to talk about, still . . . And eventually when people are gaga over the same thing for an extended time, the will be dissidents, if for no other reason than to give oneself a persona as 'the dissident.'
Mac Jones, Darnold, Mayfield, Wilson, Hurts, aren't 'criticized' because they're already accepted as inferior prospects.
Lawrence is a little immune for the time being because there's still expectations, but he's too new on too horrible of a team to be anything but a present-day basement-dweller.
Basically, there are a ton of dynamics to justify the assessments going on before you get to the racial aspect. [Reply]
