Why? Jonathan Allen just turned 30 in January, and they signed him for 3 years. We signed Jones at 29 to a 5 year deal. Allen is one of the top DTs in the NFL, definitely in that next tier after Jones. 3/51 + 9 in incentives is really quite cheap for him.
I haven't seen the terms for Hargrave yet to really judge that one, but I think Allen is a really good deal. [Reply]
Only thing Minnesota might regret is it feels like they’re spending big for the rookie QB within a poor FA class.
Next year you’re still on the rookie deal and you can probably get even better players. But oh well, they’re trying to compete in the best division there is. [Reply]
