Watch that third hilight reel in the Op. There's two minutes of actual gameplay and only about 10% is actual pass broken up. Most of it is tackles and interception or PBU of terribly thrown balls by nobody QBs in the very mid Sunbelt conference. [Reply]
And it was not only the Bills game. Opposing QBs and coaches were secretly salivating when he was on the field instead of Williams as CB3. He kept getting targeted and kept allowing catch after catch. There is zero excuse for this now we have McDuffie, Watson (with a game under his belt), and Williams. With McDuffie excelling in slot, and the other two tall, lengthy corners on the outside. [Reply]

Yes, noticed the same. Like... c'mon man. We need all hands on deck. And Williams must be the CB3. Fine with him getting a few situational snaps, but not 50% defensive snaps like against the Texans. I mean this is Josh Allen we talkin about! [Reply]

100%
And this is the part I'm struggling with...as to why Williams was benched again?
He literally stopped the bleeding once Johnson was benched and he took over.
IF this is some Spags shit then I don't even know what to say. Because Johnson is literally one of the worst corners I've ever watched in my life. [Reply]

Might be due to Williams making errors in practice or not displaying quite the same work ethic or studiousness as Nazeeh behind the scenes. Who knows?!
But the stakes are too high. This 3 peat opportunity is once in our lifetimes. Spags has GOT to recognize that we need to put out the best players that maximize our probability of winning the game! And not the opposite!
The fact this didn't happen against the Texans was shocking to me, but we'll just wait and see. This AFC championship is the big one. Hoping for the best. [Reply]

They like Nazeeh and wanted to give him some playoff seasoning. If they throw Williams out there next week and he gets banged up, it’s nice that Nazeeh has some post season reps.
Honestly feels like Williams gets in his head when he’s the designated starter. Always seems to play better off the bench or in unexpected moments. [Reply]

Saw Nick Jacobs on twitter say "he's not bothered that Williams was benched because Watson took all of his snaps on the outside and Johnson can be moved around so that's why he's preferred" smh :-)
Again Spags will have to watch back the tape from the last game and he's gonna have a choice. Go with an undersized guy who was relentlessly targeted and gave up 100 yards and a td. Or go with a safer bet who matches up with the Bills receivers much better physically and has proven experience Chase and Higgins in a previous AFC championship?
To me the maths are easy here. But Spags's stubborn ways are what is giving me doubt right now because his issues with Joshua seem to be profound and I don't get it. [Reply]

Not true. He played great when he became the starter once Johnson was benched. And all the stats back up that notion. The defense as a whole vastly improved. [Reply]

yup. Once Jonson was benched an Williams stepped in the defense was solid again [Reply]
