Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.
Jets trade offer to the Chiefs for Tyreek Hill - that Kansas City would have accepted if the WR opted for NY - did not include a first-round pick, but rather multiple picks that were commensurate to the Dolphins’ offer based on the draft value chart that teams use, per sources.
For the "it will be no trouble to draft a WR to replace Tyreek" crowd... look at the Chiefs history of getting immediate/starting impacts from their rookie WR's under Andy Reid... it is terrible. [Reply]

I think Veach saw a draft that was as deep as it’s been in a while and he wanted as many shots as it as he could get.
I hope you're right.
I want every single one of those picks used in the draft, unless Veach can pull some magic with a trade for a young playmaker - someone that can actually help you this season and beyond.
Otherwise, take your medicine this year and possibly next and be ready to roll when all these draftees are starting to emerge. [Reply]

The only thing I might do is use a later pick to move up from 29 for a DE if one is there like Johnson or Karlaftis. Otherwise just stay put and add young, cost controlled talent to this team. [Reply]

Im reminded of the Vikings trading Diggs for a first rounder and turning that into Justin freaking Jefferson on a rookie contract. Meanwhile Diggs is aging on an expensive contract. The Vikings undoubtedly got the best of that trade.
Perspective people! We got FIVE freaking picks. FIVE! Lets wait and see who Veach turns those picks into. I have confidence a couple of years down the road it will be clear we got the best of the trade.
Yes, the Vikings have clearly eclipsed the Bills in team fortunes!!
Seems like I can't go a day without hearing a Vikings fans making fun of the poor pitiful Bills. [Reply]
