This is a massive hole that is filled for the #chiefs. Trent McDuffie is considered by almost everyone as the 3rd best CB in this draft. The first two went off the board at 3 and 4.

The @Chiefs make a big move for a top CB (and my model's #8 overall prospect) in Trent McDuffie, who allowed 3.1 yards/target in 2021 at Washington (best in FBS, min. 30 targets).

Could be a key piece to counter the wealth of receiving talent in the AFC come playoff time!

If you're spending a top ten pick on a corner you want a guy who can shut down everyone and I would assume McDuffie could struggle against the giant WR's.

But in today's NFL how many Jalen Ramseys are there? If he can shut down the faster, twitch guys...well, he is incredibly useful.
He’s like 1/4 inch under 5’11”, which is pretty much average height.

It’s overblown.

He also has short arms.

It's a good pick, I like the player. Just explaining why he wasn't a top ten pick.

The short arms thing is a legit knock, just speaking on the height concerns.

I totally understand how that keeps him from being a top 10 pick, but he was easily a top 15 player that shouldn’t have made it out of the top 20.

Those scouts that are saying he was a fringe 1st rounder are retarded.

There's some tall and physical WRs in our division. We'll soon find out if or how long his height and reach are an issue.

I agree. He's probably a better player right now than Stingley but this is how NFL teams operate.

Bob McGinn is DJ!

:-)

Just kidding. Sort of.

Look, it's May, and we just drafted these guys. Now is the time to dream about ceilings, not bitch about floors.

We took a bunch of highly motivated, hard working kids. Those are the type of kids that have a good shot at reaching their max potential.

If several of them do, this is a transformational draft.

It's May. It's the time for dreams.

He’ll be playing safety in place of Matheiu IMO. Put his ass on the speed receivers or good route runners in the slot. Those are generally more dangerous players.

You keep saying this. Why would they do that?

He's a corner. Play him at corner. You traded up for him to play corner.

If you’ll notice something about all our draft picks, we are going to bring the wood. Everyone we brought in packs a punch in run game. Can we cover long enough for our pass rush to get there is yet to be seen.

But you are not running through us anymore or doing short passes over the middle.

So he has shorter than ideal arms. Who cares? Chief fans have seen plenty of normal-armed CBs make a habit of running right next to a WR, only to let a pass drop right over their shoulder for a completion because they had no ****ing idea the ball was ever thrown.

Give me a short-armed CB who can find the ball every day of the week.

Bc Spags. He’ll likely play both IMO. Look at what Spags did with Kendall Fuller and Sneed? Moved them everywhere.

It confuses QB’s

They moved Fuller because of injury and needed him back there.
