IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I think the defender second from the top of the screen spooked Mahomes a little. At the time Mahomes would have had to commit to that throw, the defender wasn't moving to the back of the EZ to cover the WR yet. He could have driven on the ball and possibly cut off Kelce's route and intercepted it.

Notice how the spy sits back and then finally charges? Baltimore did that and it was super effective. I always wondered why more teams didn't use it against ut.

The guy was so scared of blowing the season on one play he was only gonna throw to a wide open sure thing there.

That is the impact of the play before the half and the play where the pass was tipped and picked.

When crunch time came in OT he let one rip into a tight hole and it got picked.

The Bengals just played an outstanding game on defense and killed our best player when it counted most. You tip the cap and hope Mahomes learns from this. He will.

Hes not even looking there at any point.

He's like staring at DRob the entire time for some reason and then he starts rolling right for no reason whatsoever.

I'm not blaming Patrick because this reeks of Reid being counter intuitive

Plenty of blame to go around. Simple as that.

Bills' game, that's why I don't blame Patrick. He has a transcendent performance than this happens? Reid's playcalling and coaching was not bbn to liae.

IMO….they both own this. It’s probably weighted more on Patrick but Reid has to know when he can’t run the offense like he should be.

Patrick was terrible in the 2nd half. He deserves a lot of blame.

I watched Patrick overthrow two flat routes by two yards apiece.

I watched Patrick Elvis Grbac a throw into the flat with no timeouts.

I watched Patrick overthrow Pringle on a deep crosser.

I watched Patrick not pull the trigger to an open Kelce in the RZ with a chance to be a hero.

That ain't on Reid.

Mahomes is human, shocking.

We've built him up so much that when he fails, we're stunned. We may have already seen his peak. Time will tell.

Naw. I think the QB prime for the elite passers is really like 29-36.

By that point, the great QBs have seen everything. They’ve won games they shouldn’t have. They’ve lost games that shouldn’t have. They still have the physical skills to be great, but their minds are developed to just have a feel for the game on another level.

We’re just spoiled with how good Mahomes was so early. He’s only 26, so I think his real prime is a few years away.

Brady has said several times that he wishes he understood the game in his 20’s like he did in his 30’s. Mahomes is well ahead of that and will only get better.
