CAI won't affect exhaust note. Some report a slight uptick in engine bay airflow noise, but that doesn't sound like what you're looking for.
The google term you're looking for is 'catback' which denotes the exhaust components from your catalytic converter [which must remain by law] to the back of your vehicle [pipes, mufflers and tips]. Use that with your make and model and you should get some youtube hits to listen to.
Not cheap though.
Yeah, I am looking for something that would make it sound aggressive, but I also am aware of the noise that has to be reasonable, so I don't want to get attention, that's for sure. So I have been looking into some of those cat-backs.
I don't know if you live in KC, but (and this applies to others), is there a car store that would carry these types and do the labor as well, for a reasonable price? [Reply]

They are crazy. Ever since they announced they were gone dealers act like they are gold.
I don't need it, I just want it. I can't stomach paying 10 grand more today than I could have 6 weeks ago.
I drove the fuck out of one Friday afternoon though. The sales man said "those brembos are really getting a workout" just about the same time they started smoking. :-). Automatic even and I would have bought it right then had they sold it to me for the price it was at the end of March. [Reply]

Honestly, IMO SAMS Club has the best deals on tires typically but I am not sure how many options they have for off road stuff.
I don't buy tires anywhere else anymore for my daily driver cars, nobody can seem to beat SAM's prices as far as I can tell and its usually significant. Last set I bought for my old truck were $50 cheaper per tire than anywhere else for the exact same thing. [Reply]
