McDermott spent a lot on veterans.

Buffalo roster much older than the Chiefs.

They're going to have to start playing younger, cheaper players more.

They went all in with the Von thing this year.

He got hurt. Shit happens.

Now they're gonna have to start restructuring guys or cutting guys.

Which means they're going to have to start drafting better. Since they've gotten good and started drafting later and later, they've been drafting worse and worse.

I might also contemplate whether it would make more sense to keep Higgins (who should be cheaper than Chase) and possibly Boyd vs Chase and Boyd/Higgins at the expense of other positions on the team.
Omg. Imagine they let Chase walk and he goes to Pittsburgh, or Cleveland!! :-)

Allen is better than Burrow. Put Allen or Mahomes on Burrow’s stacked offense and Mahomes has 60 TD’s and Allen is probably at 50 TD’s. Burrow is at 35 (which is less than Allen has with just Diggs).
The bigger story is defense. Allen scores 27 points per game in his Playoff career. Burrow scores 23 points per game in his Playoff career. Yet Joe has won 83% of the games while Josh has won 50% of them.

Why? Mainly the Cincy defense performing at a much stronger level than the Buffalo defense. Josh’s defense has allowed over 35 points per game in the last 3 playoff losses. Burrow’s only playoff loss featured 23 points by the Rams. His defense has allowed only 18 points per game so far in his 6 Playoff games.

I wonder what is going to be Joe Burrow’s nickname from Romo?

The buffalo D allowed 27 in their last playoff loss

That's why we don't give big contracts to aging vets or trade our first round picks Mr o city

Correct. That’s not very good. Blend that with 42 points last year and 38 points the year before that. Burrow outplayed Allen by a large margin the other day, but I also think the defense of each team had something to do with that.

Part of Burrow's numbers are that the defense has allowed him to not have to throw a lot in the 2nd half. He hasn't been in a shootout in the playoffs yet.

He had 27 attempts for 186 yards and 2 tds in the first half against Buffalo. He hasn't thrown the ball 40 times in a playoff game yet.

Yes, that’s a very nice luxury for the QB to have.

Yep. And don't the Chiefs have the second or third youngest roster in football?
