Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Just a ridiculous run to close.
It was great, but would like to see a much better start in remaining playoff games. The margin for error will be much tougher against teams like Buffalo, Cincy/TENN, and Tampa/Green Bay. [Reply]

I mean, look at our SB run. Mahomes wasn't perfect, especially against the 49ers, but he still clutched it out.
Point being, as long as Mahomes is playing and there's time on the clock, we can win. [Reply]

It doesn't work that way.
Chris Simms just had a great segment where he said he has never seen a team like the Chiefs. Maybe there was someone before the 1980's.
But what he noticed is that KC often looks good but ordinary. They did the same thing on the Superbowl run, the switch flipped and KC would rattle off TD's.
I think it's just another level that Mahomes reaches and he can't just decide to do it. It happens where he stops thinking altogether and God Mode activates.
In another thread, I mentioned a friend from Green Bay called it KC as "Seabiscuit".
4:40 in Florio and Simms discuss the Chiefs when they get into the zone.

This offense has been nails on first drives this year.
And really, they didn't look completely awful even in the first couple of drives in that game.
I mean...on rewatch that is. I was DRUUUUUUNK - I have no memory of that game in real time.
But I expected to see a complete shitshow and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was just a few little issues here and there.
It wasn't god mode that got activated or anything - they just finished drives. They were moving the ball okay even before the scoring started. They just weren't quite all the way there yet.

It would be nice to cruise out to a smooth start but if he finished like this it wont matter how slow they start.
