Wow, Rumble Johnson jumped from #14 all the way up to #5 in the LHW rankings after that fight in the co-main. He DID look good, but damn. I guess they are grooming him for a title shot. [Reply]
Last night was one of the reasons I watch MMA. I honestly bought the fight for the undercards, I wanted to see Lawler win, and I wanted to see if DC could dust off Hendo and make a case for a title shot.
The main event was an afterthought, sure TJ is a tough kid, but I figured he was an outmatched blood donor for this fight, intended to keep Barao's skills sharp in a tune-up payday while waiting for a real opponent to heal up.
What was shocking wasn't that TJ won the fight, but that it was no fluke, he won every round. In the 4th and 5th he could have laid back, played defense, and taken it easy but he instead stayed in there and finished it. He was clearly the better fighter last night, deserved to be the champ, and now I want to see if he can hold on to the title. [Reply]
Dillashaw opened a lot of eyes last night. I haven't been that impressed by an MMA fight in a long time. His foot and head movement were spectacular. [Reply]

He was more powerful version of Frankie Edgar IMO. [Reply]
Chael out of UFC 175 for failing a test for the same drug Robert Mathis had in his system. Not sure how to feel about this considering the TRT ban Nevada has issued. They're moving the goal posts on these guys. [Reply]

It is possible for one judge to score a fight 30-27 for one fighter, and for another judge to score the fight 30-27 for the other fighter, but it should RARELY happen. This fight was not one of those times it should have happened. I was disgusted.
They need actual MMA judges. Not converted boxing judges. These guys are fucking up people's careers. Pearson should have moved up the ladder a bit after that fight. Instead, he's got a loss to Diego on his record. Ridiculous.
It was almost as bad as the decision Sanchez was gifted against Martin Kampmann. [Reply]
