hah, they actually did give performance of the night to OSP. He called it during his interview with Rogan. He probably deserves it for laying down some MMA 101 on all of us with that very rare Von Flue choke. [Reply]
Hendo is a beast, but he probably can't sustain his style of I'll take two of yours to deliver one of mine any longer. His body is going to betray him soon. [Reply]
The UFC released Jake Shields, kind of premature IMO. I know his fight with Lombard was a stinker but Dana seems to want to distance himself from the scrap pack as a whole. [Reply]

I disagree, but I don't need to see a KO to be entertained. I enjoy watching the grappling battles, the scrambles and the strategy. Most casual fans don't. That's why Dana wouldn't sign Ben Askren. There are a lot of guys with the same type of style though, GSP had become a fight not to lose fighter before his retirement. [Reply]

meh...you can enjoy the technical aspects of MMA and still find Jake Shields completely boring. [Reply]

Jake Shields is a terrible striker but he's one of the most technically sound grapplers at 170 or 185. That's not fun for most people to watch, I get that. [Reply]

He definitely is...I agree with that. But he's not always aggressive with his grappling. Sometimes he doesn't even make an attempt to pass. No attempt to work his way to full mount and finish a fight. Lots of times he's content to use his grappling to maintain position on a guy and ride out a round. No fun in that. It's not a wrestling match, it's MMA. Your supposed to use your discipline to work towards a finish. [Reply]

Yep, and that's what makes him so dangerous, he's had to be humbled then come back up the hard way... he knows the riddle of the steel.
That's why he was able to give Hendricks all he could handle in his first big UFC fight in ages, always loved that guys style, he goes for the dynamic strike every chance he gets... he's anything but boring. [Reply]
i don't watch much ufc, but i find it kind've cool that a former ufc fighter goes to my gym some times.. i don't think he was anyone big, but still cool. [Reply]

I was surprised by Browne getting absolutely dominated on their feet. Werdum looked better than he ever has. He still won't beat Cain though, not even on his best day [Reply]
