Hey all, you know the deal...
The other thread hit over 1,000 posts and we have server issues when that shit happens so here she be, a fancy new mega thread.
Anyway, just a quick rundown.
Post anything and everything gaming in here. Console games, handheld/mobile games or PC.
Playing something you love or maybe hate? Find a hidden gem on Steam? Let us know via a review. Try to make sure you give a good rundown on it. Graphics, sound, storyline, overall gameplay and replayability. Let's keep it at a 1-10 scale.
Thanks to all that left me awesome rep comments/posts and even pm's thanking me for the many reviews I wrote.
Just an FYI, developers do read our comments in here I guess. CD Projekt Red (of Witcher 3) was one that stopped by.
Anyway, thanks all for your input and as always, no griefing. [Reply]
It's been getting nice out, weather is improving and so people are more likely to go outside. Naturally, gaming takes a back seat for awhile. See if you're still growing out of gaming when it's below zero for a month back in the dead of winter. lol [Reply]

I'm opening my pool today, I just wish I could keep it open year round. [Reply]

I wish I had decided to do all of that sooner but whatever.
Getting together a bunch of cars and actually buying properties is on my list of things to do this go ‘round.
You talking Story Mode or Online?
Story mode i completed a decade ago and havent touched since.
Online, i have, idk, roughly 200ish cars.
I have (going off memory here):
2x Skyrise Condos w/ 10 car garage each.
CEO Office w/ 30+ cars x3 Floors (so like 90 cars)
Night Club (Which houses another, idk 30-40 cars)
Arcade ( 10 car garage)
Auto Shop (10 car garage)
Casino Penthouse (10 Car Garage)
Agency (idk, like 30 cars i think)
Chop Shop (10 specialty vehicles)
Motorcycle Club (10 Motorcycles)
Doomsday Shelter (idk, 10+ more?)
Arena Race Team Garage (30+)
Basic Garage (10 cars)
On top of that i have an airport hanger for Helos and planes, a Submarine and a Yacht.
I'm probably forgetting some stuff, idk, it's been so so long since ive logged into that account. [Reply]

Good fucking looking out, Bump. I added a few of these games to my library after this conversation and Fallout 4 was the one I was most interested in playing. I didn't start playing it until this past week but I'm enjoying it.

This is the initial vibe I'm getting. It is a fun game but I don't have that sense of amazement and wonder I had when I first played Fallout 3/New Vegas. That could just be due to the fact that it isn't as new to me anymore after playing New Vegas and Skyrim.
I've still been spending quite a bit of time playing it, though. These games are always such a huge time-suck for me. I've probably already put 10-20 hours in, have only completed the first handful of missions and still have 90% of the map still left to be explored lol [Reply]

If you enjoy the game, then you really gotta try Online. This game is really about the Online component.
At this point in the game's development, Story Mode is really the side game compared to Online. Online is a mammoth in terms of content.
Are you playing PC or console version?
Im daddy war bucks on PC. On console i don't even own a vehicle yet, let alone businesses and properties.
When you're just starting the money grind as a new player online, it can be daunting. It takes a long time to grind money as a new player. The bar for entry is kinda high. But it's an enjoyable experience as long as you focus on all the cool content you're doing, rather than eyeballing your bank account and being impatient.
The idea is to make money, then use that money to reinvest in another business to make even more money. The more you invest, the more income. But it could take weeks or more to get your foot in the door to making your first bit of real cash.
For example, a new player could spend about an hour playing GTA Online, focused soley on making cash. In that hour, you could probably expect to make about $50K-$100K, assuming you chain missions and successfully complete them all, you know what you're doing etc. It's much more likely however, as a new player, to be on the $50K side of that or less.
My OG PC account could grind $3-4M cash in about 2 hours of play time.
The more money you've made, the more you invest, the more you make for equal time spent.
If this is something that interests you i could go over exactly how to spend your time so that it's maximized.
And if you're a PC player, i could even let you in on a slice of my pie to help get you going. [Reply]

Ughhhh......yea. The modding shit ruins the game. If you're in a packed lobby, it's guaranteed to be full of God Mode modders.
I pretty much never play in full lobbies. I'll keep refreshing lobbies until i get one with 5 or less people.
GTA V has done some stuff in recent years though to help alleviate the problems modders and griefers present.
About a year ago they nerfed the ultimate griefer vehicle, and then created cars that can't be locked on by missle launchers etc. [Reply]
