There’s plenty of time and being down 1 would ensure the Bills get 4 downs until they get to field goal range.

If it’s tied up, you’re much more likely to get a more relaxed approach from the Bills offense. Maybe you can get lucky and get them off the field in a quick 3 and out or something.
