The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

In Dallas maybe with his brother or some city that’s easier for his social life, and strip clubs, and all of that. It was me talking off the cuff, speculating. I want to apologize for that. I want to sit here and tell everybody that I was dead wrong. DEAD ASS WRONG. That’s me copping to a mistake. I want to tell you what I believe I know now, or what I've learned over the past week, and I'm breaking a little bit of news here to some degree.
Here's what I think is at the heart of Stefon Diggs' problem... Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, you don't got that ‘dog’ in him. He's not Tom Brady, he's not Joe Burrow, he's not Patrick Mahomes, he's not committed to the game, he's not committed to the study, to the level of effort that the real top-flight quarterbacks put into the game.
Josh Allen survives on talent and everybody in that organization knows it. THAT has been at the heart of the frustration and tension with Stefon Diggs and that organization as it relates to Josh Allen. The coaching staff from Sean McDermott on down, they cater to Josh Allen. They don't hold Josh Allen's feet to the fire, they let him mail it in on talent, and I don't halfway blame Stefon Diggs for looking around.
They lose that embarrassing playoff game to the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-10. You look across and you think about Joe Burrow and the commitment to the game of Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes, and the standard Tom Brady set, and you're playing with a super-talented guy who's not as committed as the other top flight quarterbacks and it shows up in that playoff game. He's not as prepared, and then frustration boils over when Stefon Diggs feels like he's not targeted enough in that playoff loss, and feels like Josh Allen was not as prepared as he should be for a playoff game.
THAT is what is at the heart of this whole situation with Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen is not as committed as he needs to be to the Buffalo Bills and winning in that league, so I don't blame Stefon Diggs.
So I’m gonna have to backtrack. Not that Stefon Diggs is perfect, he's not perfect. He's a wide receiver.
Quarterbacks are held to a different standard. Quarterbacks have to set a tone and be the hardest workers on a team. Josh Allen ain’t that, I don’t blame Stefon Diggs.
From what I understand, they've worked things out for the moment, that they're ‘good’ with each other right now for the moment, but if this season doesn't get off to a good start, this thing is gonna spiral out of control again.
Basically, everybody in that locker room knows who the bad guy is, knows who the guy is that's not putting in the work, and it's Josh Allen.”
As it relates to Josh Allen, I'm not telling you what I think. I'm telling you what I've been told. I like Josh Allen. Have no issue with him. He just needs to be a student of the game, better leader and more committed. It is what it is. pic.twitter.com/g05eofuw9E
Not going to examine this whole thread. Did anybody mention they need to worry about not being the little bitches of the Bengals first? Thanks. [Reply]
As Mahomes gets older, it becomes more and more apparent that what officially sold the Chiefs was that 10 hour film session with coaches and scouts.
Mahomes isn’t just the most talented QB. I think he’s also the smartest.
I congratulate Allen for getting as far as he has on the amount of studying and prep he’s committed. I never believed he had what it took to be a top 5 QB mentally. He’s got a hard limit there. [Reply]
