Since people destroyed Mahomes over one bad half and a couple subpar regular season games, after years of greatness, I think it's fair to point out that Allen hasn't exactly been consistently great. And I'm not talking about his crappy first two years. He had 14 turnovers in the second half of last season and several poor to mediocre games in that span. Can you imagine if Mahomes lost 9-6 to the Jaguars? [Reply]
I think our OL and weapons will play a big role here. As long as Brown Jr is substantial (I think he’ll have a good year) it will allow Patrick to have way more time. And now his 2nd, 3rd 4th WR’s will be good. Mecole goes from WR2 to WR 3 at best now (probably WR4 tbh).
Also getting guys like Bryan Cook and Leo Chenal was so needed. I don’t think they will allow Josh Allen to stiff arm them and if he tries it he’s not getting a business decision from then. He’s getting a TFL with a hard tackle. [Reply]

Surprise surprise they got killed at those positions last night. Big decline there
Ram's look like they're on Stafford's last elbow.
I suppose week one might be a little early to write them off. But, man, they had such a tiny SB window after giving up on Goff and going all in last year.
So lucky they got the Bungles and not KC or the Bills. [Reply]
I think it's less about overhype and more about Stafford coming down to earth. Bills are still a very good football team and I feel like Allen has shown the maturity to take what he's given and they have some legit YAC threats. And von Miller was everywhere which adds a new dimension.
Still, I believe our defense improved way more than buffalo improved overall. And the bills running game doesn't scare anybody. [Reply]
They looked excellent IHMO and I'm not a bills fan.
They looked good, but the turnovers tell the story. LA couldn't capitalize on the turnovers they got, the Bills offense was clearly better and did capitalize on them. I think they're a three headed monster, Allen, Diggs, and Davis. The rest of their offense is manageable. You stop 2 out of 3 of those, then I think you can beat them. Those two passes from Allen deep down the field to Diggs and Davis, were completely avoidable if the defensive back would've been paying attention, the one to Diggs was underthrown allowing Diggs to fall down while catching the ball. They looked good, but the ball definitely bounced their way, and when Jalen Ramsey had no help over the top, they burned him a couple times last night. [Reply]

He ended up with three potential concussions on one play in that game. [Reply]
They look like the most talented team in the league.
But the most talented team doesn't always win it all in fact they usually don't. Some pretty good team with a Tom Brady level talent comes in and crushes their dreams and all the hype that has been crushing them all season spills into a pool of blood and urine on the field. It happens all the time in multiple sports.
The good news is we have exactly that kind of QB who can do that to a team like the Bills. [Reply]
