The #Chiefs are hiring Steve Spagnuolo as their new defensive coordinator, sources say. The former #Giants DC and interim HC/#Rams HC began his NFL coaching career as an #Eagles assistant under Andy Reid. Now rejoins Big Red in KC.
Bruh so Fuller is a safety now allowing HB to basically be wherever the fuck he wants on the field is such a genius move. Also allows Sorenson to just focus solely on playing a LB type of role. [Reply]

That is the way you close out a game!
W-whut? You mean to tell me that effective defense is predicated on....
AGGRESSION????

Kendall Fuller played a really good game on Sunday on some rewatches
He was around the ball a lot, looked explosive downhill, and was communicating the coverage calls well. He wasn't asked to cover as a CB much, but as a S, he's found a nice role
You guys are too hung up on traditional "positions".
This is what I was talking about before the season.
Spags doesn't care what you want to call the position, he cares about the skillset of the player and how to best utilize it on any given play on any given Sunday.
It's why we have so many linemen that can play inside or outside. It's why Honey Badger is so valuable to him, because he can play slot, either safety, hell he was even in man on WR's outside some against Chicago. (don't remember seeing that before).
The point is you don't know what the fuck we're going to do when you come up to the line.
so if Fuller can drop and play some safety, well that's just one more chess piece. But I wouldn't call him a SAFETY. More like they're all kind of defensive backs.
Your outside corners remain more or less outside corners. Everyone else could be doing any one of three or four jobs on any snap.

It's Christmas. Why are you posting? You better stop that shit before Gaybeard ( NAMBLA goes to sea ) and his cabin boy come along to remind you that Jesus' fictional December 25th birthday is NO TIME to be screwing around on CP! [Reply]
