That's exactly the case. FUNNY thing is that it was Al Davis who turned them in. He tried getting the league to acknowledge it as it was occurring, but it fell on deaf ears. (He was never the NFL's favorite son, so I get that) At least he got to say " I TOLD YOU SO" afterwards, but they already had their rings, which was their plan all along... [Reply]

Of course the NFL had to accept their ridiculous explanation...they had no choice. They needed the story to go away...you cant just replay a SB. The fallout would have been epic...and Elway would have retired in shame. The scandal would have done serious, permanent damage to the NFL brand... [Reply]
