Before Indiana pulled their starters Reese had 5 points off 2-7 shooting. As soon as the fever pulled their starters Chicago designed play after play after play specifically to iso Reese.
She would easily have broken the record in one of the upcoming games. Doing it like this, how could either the coach or Reese have signed off on it? That’s just embarrassing.
I have to think her teammates are sick of it as she has multiple times done this, griped about not getting the ball and celebrated her achievement even while the team got dominated. And I have to think other teams are sick of her shit because this is horrendous sportsmanship when the winning team pulls their starters and tries to run the clock out. NY took it personally when they tripled her, and Indiana looked like they were laughing on the bench. As much as the outrage mongers claim she “represents the culture” I really wonder if the players themselves respect her at all anymore [Reply]
Travis kelce had a chance to create an almost insurmountable milestone by getting 1 simple reception to hit 1000 yards. Either he or Reid decided to bench him and get him fresh for the playoffs. We won a Super Bowl with kelce dominating in the playoffs.
Angel Reese down by 25 stays in the final minutes to stat pad. Acts proud to earn her flowers in a loss. All with a road game coming up on Sunday. This is like Pacheco throwing a tantrum to get the ball up 21 with 2 minutes left with a Thursday game coming up. [Reply]
Lol hey everyone I hear you've missed me? :-) Firstly thanks to the mods for giving the people what they wanted and allowing me back :-) .
Soooo Clark had a great night last night didn't she? It was impressive but let's be honest Chicago were missing key players and are low in confidence after somehow letting Aja Wilson loose under the rim to beat them In the last two seconds.
Since I was last here Clark has certainly improved but she's not been alone. Mitchell has been sensational and so has Boston. Smith has also been decent. So she does have support but Reese has a rookie big in Cardoso and Carter who is out injured right now. Chicago's best shooter in Marina Mabrey demanded a trade and was dealt so it's been a rough spell.
One last thing I'll say is the issue I talked about before is Clark's turnovers and I have to be honest. Ten turnovers in the last two games and nineteen in the last four games is rough.....
But anyway it's good to be back guys and hopefully we can keep things respectful :-) [Reply]

Is it that she's white that makes you hate her, or because she came from and played for Iowa?
I for the life of me can't think of any other reason. Unless she didn't respond to your love letters. [Reply]

Here is what is actually happening. A fair read, not some canned Twitter comments
Reese is an elite rebounder. And she’s a good defender. She is Andre Drummond except she has more defensive range and isn’t a liability at the FT line. Unlike Drummond she’s horribly inefficient under the basket. Her entire bag is built around motor. Her entire game is built on bully ball and reshooting off her misses. She has no post moves, she has a bizarre low release on short shit instead of going straight up, she is too ineffective outside of 5 feet to space the floor, and rather than shooting 30% off of horrendous heaves she should be kicking it out. They’ve gotta stop coddling the kid. The way she forces shots late in games and even is their primary tech FT shooter all to chase a meaningless record… why would the coach do that and I can’t imagine the team appreciates it. If she develops a post game and mikan drills til her hands bleed she’ll be one of the better bigs. But until then people need to stop insulting our intelligence with these bs comparisons.
Clark creates a lot of turnovers. Surprise, a qb is going to have more turnovers than a RB, and a rookie qb is going to have even more. Peyton had 28 INTs as a rookie. Clarks teammates are playing great but it’s because they are adapting to what clark uniquely does. Mitchell is thriving because clark pushes an absurd pace and Boston thrives because defenses blitz clark. And now they are unstoppable because Boston has learned to become Jokic. They are playing within a system clark is uniquely qualified to run. Clark makes the system run and she is setting the offense up for success. That’s why she’s not only the undisputed ROTY, let alone a candidate for mvp runner up. [Reply]

I think comparing Reese to Drummond is way off base and totally inaccurate. Reese is an elite defender who can guard bigs, forwards and guards. Drummond can't do that. Then we have her rebounding skills which are at this rate historic in the men's or women's. She's simply outstanding on both ends be it offensive or defensive rebounding. Offensively yes she's a work in progress but she has hit threes and midrange jumpers on and off all season and I'd expect that to improve as she gains more experience. The tools are there for her to improve offensively and if she does she could be Kawhi lite imo.

It's funny how when the Fever were losing everyone blamed her teammates. Now they are barely 500 "her teammates owe Clark everything"?? Mitchell has been balling since the start of the season so I don't agree that it's solely down to Clark.
Also I think that excuse regarding her turnovers is weak. Quality players don't give the ball away as prolifically as Clark does and it's a habit she had in college too. And what makes it worse is many of them lead to easy buckets for the opposition. When the playoffs start that's when such habits really come home to roost as they did when she lost back to back finals with Iowa.
If you wanna talk about qb's then Brett Favre might be a good Clark comparison tbh. But I digress. [Reply]

They had pretty much the same roster last year and they were absolutely terrible.
Clark has completely turned that franchise around. They are going to be playoff bound after being the worst team in the league last year.
Meanwhile, the Sky are much worse with Reese.
Don't you ever put the two in the same sentence again, mr! [Reply]
