The #Chiefs are hiring Steve Spagnuolo as their new defensive coordinator, sources say. The former #Giants DC and interim HC/#Rams HC began his NFL coaching career as an #Eagles assistant under Andy Reid. Now rejoins Big Red in KC.

I was critical early on because there was reason to be. That’s it.
We all were. But many people when the hiring was announced just said, "He's had shitty defenses in New Orleans and most recently with the Giants. He sucks. Bad hire. Chiefs lose again."
Granted, he's got an all-world assemblage of position coaches helping him out. Is the improved run defense more about Spags or our "run game coordinator" Brandon Daly? If the Chiefs keep improving and playing defense like this, many of these coaches are going to get promotions and leave the team, and then we'll see how valuable they were.

It's the exact thing that happened Texan/Colts games. (Tenn was Special Teams - and GB Clearly no Mahomes)
We got out to leads in both games, but they just kept running. It worries me, if a team has a talented runner with decent enough O-line keeping Mahomes on bench. [Reply]
