I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals lose out. Not having Chase is gonna be huge. The Steelers are trash but will be motivated by at least having a QB that is backup quality in on Sunday. Trubisky should've been out of the league years ago. Plus it's a must win home rivalry game. Gimme TJ Watt and friends. Then they play us, probably still sans Chase. Week 18, we'll see. If the Browns need the game and play everyone, I think they win as well. [Reply]

Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don’t make . . . . .
it'll be interesting to see how a system QB like Burrow handles an offense without as many weapons.

Usually QB's that start on an established team can perform better and get better themselves as they have a more solid group around them.
Most here forget that is what Mahomes was lucky enough to fall into. He didn't get drafted #1 overall by the worst team in the league like Burrow did and then have to work his way out of it. I'm not knocking Mahomes but Burrow did a great job reviving that franchise. [Reply]

No, Burrow is an elite QB that likes things a certain way and Zac has allowed it because 2 straight AFCCGs and a SB appearance. Like i said earlier, they had started to transform and run more UC and PA. With how the team has performed in ramping it up for Browning, it's a no-brainer that Burrow will have to adapt to less empty and get used to turning his back to the defense on occasion. Not to the extent of Browning, but more.
I think he's smart enough to see the benefits to the offense and to his overall health--by getting hit less, helps the line, better run game--since he's now missed chunks of 2 of his 4 years here. [Reply]

Honestly, there were more than a few times during TC this year where i saw him make some eyebrow raising throws (in a good way) and i took note of it but when the time came, i didn't expect him to perform like he has. Having what he does around him is his biggest superpower. I doubt he plays like this on any other needy team that would give up something for him.
Not badmouthing him, he seems to be a good guy and he's getting the job done, i just didn't really see him playing like this, game by game, even with who he has around him. [Reply]

I mean they would be stupid not to. Even I see that as the obvious move for a front office to take. There's definitely a team dumb enough to take him (hello Denver!) [Reply]
Why the fuck would they trade him? If this was just a one off injury for Burrow, then sure, but the dude is injury prone AF. Having that cheap of an insurance policy that performs THAT well is worth way more than what the Bengals would get in a trade [Reply]
