It was a playcall that yielded an easy throw and catch that would've iced the game.
And for the third time in that game (and really EVERY game since Baltimore), PM just missed the throw.
He leaves 100 yards on the field seemingly every single week. He had that ball. He just missed it. Again. [Reply]

Maybe we could just set Mahomes up to get some deep ball lessons from Joe in the offseason..
Or maybe Aidan O’Connell who just outplayed Mahomie..?
Honestly, we could get about 20 QBs league wide to help Pat on his deep ball.

Generally I agree but in this situation I liked it. We were averaging less than 2 YPC all game outside of one big Pacheco run. We weren’t getting 2+ yards on a run there and I think running there only would have taken like an extra 5-10 seconds off the clock.
I like putting the ball in your HoF QBs’ hands there. Especially when he’s got the fastest WR in the league in single coverage with some bum ass 2-9 CB2.
That should have been a fairly easy conversion. [Reply]

The fact that he has struggled with that throw for weeks now would seem to be one of the primary reasons it was a bad playcall with the game on the line [Reply]
You think? No, that's obviously the problem, and it's obviously been the problem for a long time now. Hell, it's starting to get worse than it's ever been. 10 sacks in 2 weeks. [Reply]

interesting angle, also consider that calling a long throw when our O line hasnt blocked a soul all game is questionable practice. i mean the fucking pressure kind of ruined it so [Reply]

You could have put the ball in his hands for a 5 yard throw instead of a 50 yard throw. Just saying, lol [Reply]

Possibly, but I haven’t seen the All-22 so I can’t speak definitively on the call.
In general defenses play up on the short stuff when they’re sending the house. Sometimes the short stuff just isn’t there and, ironically enough, the deep shot is the “easier” conversion. [Reply]

Maybe at some point we should start expecting a half billion dollar quarterback to not struggle with that throw. Or easy throws to the back of the end zone.
Guy left 11 points and probably 100 yards on the field today. AGAIN. And you want to continue to find other places to point the finger.
When was the last time he outplayed the opposing QB? It's been awhile. [Reply]
