I'm glad the arguments are now "this two loss team over this 3 loss team" insead of squeezing 3 undefeated teams into 2 spots, or undefeated team with cupcake schedule or 1-loss team with legit schedule.
Whiners will whine, the media will make a huge fuss... but, at 2+ losses, take care of your shit and it wouldn't have mattered what other teams did/didn't do.
The only downside that will probably always be one is a team like Miami (or 2008 Kansas) not playing this extra game but would end up with fewer losses than Clemson. [Reply]

SMU is gonna drop below Indiana and Bama after this loss but we all know if Indiana had to play a conference title game tonight against Oregon, they'd similarly be blown out. They benefit from not having to play the extra game, which is illogical.

I think when you’re talking about a 2 loss team vs 3, just award the team who’s beaten the better opponents.

I have this idea that NIL and constant transfers has put college talent on a downward trajectory. No one stays and gets developed. Kids just transfer to a place they can start with their natural athleticism rather than developing their skills. [Reply]
