True, but this is a bit of a down year for QBs when you look at guys that are typically lighting it up and they're not doing that this year. Rodger, Manning, Luck, Romo, Ben ... all have been hurt, missed time, have depleted offenses due to injury.

Per Silver, Elway is so sold on Osweiler that he was willing to accept a sixth-round pick in return, yet received no takers. The new coaching staff in Denver does seem to have taken a liking to Osweiler, who is mobile with adequate arm strength. (The widespread notion that he has a "cannon arm" is simply erroneous.) Regardless, Osweiler will start Sunday at Chicago's Soldier Field, and it would not be surprising if he had initial success in a high-percentage Gary Kubiak offense that plays to Osweiler's strengths.

Does anyone have any statistics on the percentage of plays he actually rushes the passer?
It has to be low - like 50% of the time or so. I have no idea why it's like that. It's good to switch up looks occasionally with Houston, but make no mistake - he's a passrusher.
It REALLY annoys me when they do the same shit with Tamba. He should always be going at the QB, or at the most setting an edge against the run. Tamba just doesn't have the wheels to play coverage against running backs and tight ends anymore. [Reply]
He's a little more nimble than Roesthlisberger, which doesn't necessarily make him "mobile". When I think of young mobile quarterbacks, I think of Cam or Mariota, not freaking Brock Ossweiler. [Reply]
